The OCN Storm had a successful weekend against the Cross Lake Islanders. Saturday saw the Storm win 7-2 with a pair of goals from Harlan Jacobson.

On Sunday Damon Constant scored a 4 goal hat trick and Waylon Munroe Jr. scored two goals to help lead the Storm to a 10-3 victory over the Islanders.

OCN Blizzard begin to Climb Up Again

The OCN Blizzard returned from a roadtrip with 1 of 3 games won over the weekend. Fridays game saw the most amount of penalty munutes the team has recieved so far after some rather one sided officiating helped see the Selkirk Steelers pull ahead 4-1.

On Saturday the OCN Blizzard pulled ahead of the Winnipeg Blues and snapping their recent loosing streak. with 3 power play goals and an impressive shorthanded goal by Ashton Paul during a 4 on 5 the OCN Blizzard wrapped up the night 5-4, with the Blues last goal being scored during a 6 on 4 powerplay in the final 8 seconds of play.

Sunday's game again saw the top of the West face the top of the East as the Blizzard headed to Steinbach to face the Pistons. Despite being the third game of a 3 game roadtrip and facing a team that hadn't played yet that weekend the Blizzard were full of energy and continued to fight back, tying the game 3-3 before the beginning of the third period.

Unfortunately the Pistons would take full advantage of an early 5 on 3 powerplay, scoring 3 virtually back to back goals against the Blizzard and pulling ahead 6-3. Despite this the Blizzard still continued to fight hard until the game wrapped up with a final score of 7-4 for the Pistons.

This weekend they face the Portage Terriers in back to back games, and with last weekends performance I fully believe some good results are just on the horizon once again.
