OCN Blizzard

The OCN Blizzard are looking to climb the MJHL standings. They wrap up their January schedule on the road this weekend. The Blizzard play two games, tonight in Virden, and Sunday in Dauphin. Both games can be heard on 102.9 CJAR and Tonight’s game starts at 7:30 while Sundays is at 7.

Star Skate

All figure skaters from across Northern Manitoba will be welcomed to The Pas this weekend. The Pas Skating club welcomes the 2016 Norman Star skate regional championships and funskate. It will be held this weekend both tomorrow and Saturday at the Roy H Johnston Arena. The event is sponsored by Skate Canada and there will be an admission charge.

OCN Blizzard

The OCN Blizzard put a three game win streak on the line tonight as the Steinbach Pistons are in town. The Blizzard are 5-0 at the GLMC in January and are playing some of the best hockey they’ve played all year. Puck drops at 7pm at the GLMC and you can get your tickets at the door.

The OCN Blizzard are back on home ice for 11 of their final 16 games. It starts tonight as the Winnipeg Blues are in town for games tonight and tomorrow. Puck drops at 7pm and you can get your tickets at the door. Tonight’s broadcast can be heard on 102.9 CJAR and


The University College of The North is hosting a Curling Funspiel next week. It will be held at The Pas Curling Club inside the Kelsey Rec Centre on Friday Jan 22nd. Its 10 dollars per player and you must register your team of 4 or 5 by today at the Rec Centre. There will also be draw to the button challenges for cash prizes.

The OCN Blizzard will hit the road this weekend for a couple of games. OCN is in Steinbach to play the Pistons both tomorrow night and SundaySaturday’s game starts at 7:30pm while Sundays is at 7pm. You can catch both broadcasts on 102.9 CJAR. The OCN Storm are also in action. They’re at home facing the Arborg Ice Dawgstomorrow at 8pm and Sunday facing the Peguis Juniors at 4:00pm.

OCN Blizzard Win

The OCN Blizzard continue a busy week in Swan Valley tonight, it’s game 2 of a 3 game 3 night stretch. The Blizzard won 3 to 2 last night against Virden. Tonight’s game starts at 7:30pm and you can hear it on 102.9 CJAR. Also the OCN Blizzard will raise a banner to pay honor to Wayne Hawrysh at the GLMC tomorrow night. The evening’s game against Winkler will also be a "Raincheck Night" as you can use any previously unused game ticket for entry.


The OCN Blizzard are back on home ice tonight for the first time since the middle of December. The Blizzard welcome the Virden Oil Capitals tonight as part of a busy week for the team. Puck drop is at 7pm at the GLMC and you can catch the broadcast on 102.9 CJAR. The Blizzard will make a quick trip to Swan Valley to play the Stampeders tomorrow before returning home to play Winkler on Thursday.
