The Pas Minor Hockey Association's annual general meeting is coming up this June 22^nd. Currently the association is looking to fill various positions including.

The OCN Blizzard have signed Brett Tatryn to the team!

Brett is a former MJHL first round pick from Argyle Manitoba who played forward with Pilot Mound Hockey Academy and the Interlake Lightning.

He had 7 goals and 15 assists during the 2019-2020 regular season with the Pilot Mound Hockey Academy at the Midget Varsity level and 2 assists during the shortened 2020-2021 regular season at the U17 prep level.

The Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) is proud to announce, Ben Hilhorst as the recipient of the 2020-21 RBC | MJHL Community Award.

During the regular season, each MJHL member team nominated a worthy player who made a positive contribution in their local community. All 12 players nominated displayed outstanding citizenship and sportsmanship both on and off the ice and a commitment to volunteerism. RBC graciously made a donation on each player’s behalf to their respective local school division.

Ben Hilhorst was selected as the top ambassador overall for his work volunteering in a number of areas throughout his four-year MJHL career in OCN and Neepawa. Ben’s community involvement included reading to children during school visits, shoveling walk ways for local seniors, providing assistance during community fundraisers along with supporting local businesses and much more. RBC will make an additional donation in Ben’s name to a school of his choice.

“Ben has displayed outstanding citizenship and sportsmanship both on and off the ice and an amazing commitment to volunteerism during his time in the MJHL.  He is a very worthy recipient of this recognition,” Kevin Saurette, MJHL Commissioner shared.

After new Covid-19 restrictions were put in place earlier this week organized sports have been put on the line.

Under current restrictions, outdoor and indoor gatherings are prohibited, If restrictions aren't lifted again soon, programs like The Pas Minor Soccer and Baseball may be canceled for another year.

Due to new Covid-19 restrictions Le Pas De Danse Studio held their last in person recital over the weekend.

Currently they are looking for parents opinions on how they should go about the next few weeks, You can weigh in by answering the survey available here.

The Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) is preparing for the upcoming 2021-2022 season with multiple options in place depending on the Covid-19 situation in the future.

The MJHL is working with Sport Manitoba, Hockey Manitoba as well as government and public health officials to arrange all the proper safety precautions and guidelines are in place for a September start.

Thanks to current vaccine rollout times within the province, the MJHL is expecting to be able to allow fans to attend games come September.

The deadline to register your child for the Kelsey Rec and Wellness Centre's Minor Baseball and Soccer is Today!

You have until 9PM to register your children born between 2007-2017 and can do so by heading to the wellness centre, by calling them at 627-1134 or emailing rec.wellness@townofthepas.ca.

Currently there are plenty of spots available for kids born between 2007 and 14 with limited spots for children born in 2015-17.
