The OCN Blizzard needs your help to ensure a successful start to the season!
The team is searching for billet families within the Tri-Community Area to house the players for the duration of the upcoming hockey season.
As a guest in your home, your billet will be expected to show respect and consideration for both your home and the team’s rules. It is important that our players respect the rules of their billet family and the billet family respects the rules of the hockey club. The values and principles for success that are essential to become a member of the Blizzard Hockey Organization will be demanded at the rink, in the home, in the community and in school.
As a Billet Family, your roll with the team is to be a mentor, friend counselor and a good role model while listening to and giving encouragement to the players.
Provide a private bedroom for the player to use for the duration of their stay. Provide a clean, smoke free family-oriented environment, treating the player as “one of the family.”
Provide nutritious meals and snacks, families receive remuneration for meals.
Families who participate receive one season ticket per family, invitations to team events and in a lot of cases a long lasting relationship with the players!
If you or your family are interested you can contact OCN Blizzard Billet Coordinator Krista Moisan at 1-204-620-1493.
