Mark Andrews

Mark Andrews radio career began at CHTM in Thompson, Manitoba in 2007. After two and a half years in the Midday slot, he moved to The Pas in December 2009 and started working as host of YOUR Morning Wake-Up at CJAR.

Mark truly loves The Pas, and says, it's the warm-hearted people in the Tri-Communities that make this place Manitoba's golden little secret. I've never found a better place to live and I hope to be able to call The Pas my home for the rest of my days!

Mark loves animals and you can see him every day, be it spring, summer, fall or the bitter cold of winter, out and about with his beloved pound rescue Mocha. Its no secret that he's a coffee guzzling man, but he's also a big fan of cooking---well sort of. He's a big fan of letting others cook for him.

Mark says, there's nothing I love more in life, then being in my big red comfy chair from 6-10 in the morning, knowing that I've been invited in to the kitchens of the people of this great community, for a coffee.

With a smile and a wink, he raises his Super Size mug and hollers to The Pas! CHEERS!

Derek Logan

I may not be the biggest guy, or the toughest guy,
or the fastest guy, or the smartest guy ... wait,
where was I going with this.?"

Derek is a Manitoban through and through and when hes not cheering on the big Blue and Gold he
is probably wearing a Jets shirt. Born and raised in Winnipeg he had your pretty typical upbringing.

Soon after leaving high school Derek found himself working in restaurants. He may not look it but
he can cook like the wind blows, and oh my is it tasty. His passion towards cooking could not last
forever though and with that fire slowly fading away he found himself looking for, a new passion.
It was his love of all things music that made him decide radio was the right place.

It was at this time Derek went to the Academy of Broadcasting and was able to take his first step
towards becoming the man he is today. Derek has a love of everything media. He loves listening to
all types of music, from classical to metal and everything in between. He can often be seen jogging
while rocking out to The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Guess Who and other classic rock greats.

In his free time Derek loves to play the guitar and says the only thing he misses about Winnipeg are
the ladies he left behind, a Fender and a Jackson. He also has a love of science fiction and all things
alien. The Truth is Out There.

Catch Derek bright and early Saturdays - and weekdays Tuesday through Friday from 10 to 2PM
for the evening drive, and call him with your favourite tunes for the 3 Oclock Request fest.

Ryan Schultz

My career in broadcasting has been a very interesting and very fun one. I started in 1997 after graduating high school in Val Marie, Saskatchewan, 1996. I attended the Western Academy of Broadcasting College in 1997. Upon completing my college I interned at CJWW Radio in Saskatoon, SK.

After no jobs were available after the internship I moved to The Pas, MB. I worked as a nightclub DJ at The Wecana Inn and did some public address announcing for the OCN Blizzard Jr. A. Hockey Club.

I moved to North Battleford in the summer of 2004. I received a job from CJNB (Rawlco) Radio . I worked weekends for 2 months and then Afternoon Drive for 4 years. I also had my own weekend countdown show every Sunday afternoon. I counted down top Country Music. According to SoundScan Charts.

While in North Battleford I worked for the Battleford’s North Starts Jr A. Hockey Club of the SJHL. For 3 seasons I Public Address announced. I appeared on radio stations from visiting communities and color commentated. I also had the honor of being on the Board of Directors for 2 seasons. This was the 1st time I was accepted by any hockey community. Learning the business side of Hockey has been something I have always wanted to learn. The North Stars were that team that gave me the opportunity to learn.
I took some time of radio for a couple of years to raise my Daughter, Hayden.

I then moved to Dauphin, Manitoba to work for Bruce Leperre at CKDM. I started as an evening and weekends DJ. And then moved to fill in in afternoon drive slots, MidDay and even Morning Show Slots as well.

I also worked for the Dauphin Kings Jr. A Hockey Club. I was a backup DJ for the hockey games. I did some public address announcing and the joined the Board of Directors for the 2009 Season

I appeared in the stands announcing promotions and giving away prizes on ice level. This was an idea I brought to the team. Its great crowd interaction. It also keeps the fans in the game!

I was then offered a job in Regina, Saskatchewan to work Afternoon Drive for 620 CKRM. I worked here for 3 years. I was Afternoon Drive Host. I also did production for The Casey Clarke Show daily.
My other duties were working for The Saskatchewan Roughriders Football Club. I operated the visitor’s radio sound board for the visiting broadcasts.

I continued my passion for hockey. I worked in promotions for the Regina Pats WHL Hockey Club. I was the In Stands Game Day Host. I appeared on video and gave away and played promotional games with fans in the stands and on the ice surface. I did this for 2 seasons.

In 2013 I moved to Winnipeg to host the Manitoba Wake Up Crew Morning Show on NCI fm.

Now I am the Afternoon Drive DJ at CJAR 102.9 from 2-6pm. Have a Listen !!!
I am ALSO the Play By Play Voice for the OCN Blizzard Jr. A Hockey team.
