Vancouver defenceman and local talent Brady Keeper suffered a leg injury last weekend.

The former OCN Blizzard from Cross Lake had to be taken off the ice in a stretcher after screaming in pain according to Sportsnet 650’s Brendan Batchelor.

Keeper signed a two year contract with the Canucks in free agencey after spending three seasons with the Florida Panthers and playing in only two NHL games.

The Vancouver Canucks begin regular season play October 13th in Edmonton.

The Halcrow Lake Golf and Country Club is hosting their Year End Golf Tournament Closure this Sunday 11 am with a shotgun start.

The OCN Blizzard didn’t manage 3 wins in a row after the Swan Valley Stampeders took the victory 3-2 last night at the Roy H Johnston Arena.

The Blizzard's two goals were both scored by Max Mazur in the second and third periods. The Blizzard will face the Stampeders for the 4th time in a row on Friday at the Swan River Centennial Arena at 7pm.

The OCN Storm have signed 4 new players to the team! 18 year old forwards Damon Constant, Conroy Halcrow and Pierce Beardy as well as 17 year old Goaltender Nolan Sinclair, Jr.

The OCN Blizzard started the regular season with back to back victories last week! Kicking off the season opener with a final score of 4-3 in Swan River. Followed by a 5-3 victory over the Stampeders at home on Saturday.

They host the Stampeders again today at the Roy H Johnston Arena at 7 PM.

The Flin Flon bombers remain victorious after defeating the OCN Blizzard 8-3 last night in final exhibition action. The Blizzard's 3 goals were scored during the 2^nd period by Amrahj Gill, Bryden Sinclair and Guerin Apperley.

The MJHL’s regular season begins this Friday when the OCN Blizzard face their rivals the Swan Valley Stampeders at the Swan River Centennial Arena at 7pm.

A variety of classes are available for newborns to their caregivers to late teens and adults. Classes of various acro levels and styles are available such as ballet, hip hop and modern dance.

The Pas Minor Hockey Association still has plenty of room for kids to register for their upcoming hockey camp. The camp kicks off this Monday, September 13th. The cost of the camp varies on the age of the player.

First time player: $297.65

U7:  $520

U9, U13, U15 and U18: $600

U11: $570

Female Only: $312.50

Parents registering multiple players will only need to pay 50% of the registration fee at the time of registration with 25% due October 1^st and November 1^st

The OCN Storm are hosting a hockey camp this weekend at the toy H Johnston Arena. The camp is for 15-20 years old with 21 year olds also eligible if they played on a KJGHL team last year.

The camp will include practices and three games on Saturday followed by an inter-squad game at 1PM on Sunday.

Participants must be fully vaccinated with either physical or digital proof to partake in the camp. Registration takes place Saturday at 12:30 pm at the Roy H Johnston Arena. The cost of the camp is $50 per player that can be paid on Saturday.

The Semifinals are on today for the pas slo-pitch league. both teams play at 6:30.

The Yankdeez face Team T at Arena 1 while at the Centennial Field the Deadly Diamonds face team Bracken.

The winners of both games will face each other in the finals tomorrow.

The OCN Blizzard rookies got a taste of the action this past weekend.

The blizzard hosted the swan valleys stampeders at the Roy H Johnston Arena, The nights lineup was made up of primarily new aditions to the team.

The Swan Valley Stampeders took the win with a final score of 5-1. The Blizzards lone goal was scored by Ty Lone in the 3rd period. Their next home game is this Friday against the Flin Flon Bombers.
