OCN Blizzard

 OCN Blizzard fought their way back in the third period on Friday night to take the game into overtime and  Jeremy Dumont scored the game winner.


On Saturday OCN took an early lead and never looked back, winning the game 5-4. Logan Harland led things offensively with 2 goals and an assist.


The OCN Blizzard are now 10-14-2 on the season, next game is Friday at home to Portage.


OCN Storm

The OCN Storm were winners this weekend, taking both their games.


The Storm smoked the Norway House Northstars 14-5 on Saturday before beating the Cross Lake Islanders 8-2 yesterday afternoon. The Storm are now 11-3 on the season and are in second place in the north division standings.

Wescana Inn Peewee Hockey Tourny

The Wescana Inn peewee hockey tournament is this weekend in The Pas. Teams from Thompson, Flin Flon, Norway House and Dauphin will all be playing. Games started today and continue all day tomorrow. They wrap up on Sundaywith the finals. Games are being played primarily at the Roy H Johnston arena, a few played at the GLMC as well.

Volleyball provincials

MBCI is hosting the JV Boys AAA Volleyball Provincials this weekend. Games kicked off last night and continue all day today. They wrap up tomorrow with the finals. All games take place at MBCI. Everyone is invited to come watch some great volleyball with teams from across the province.


The OCN Blizzard and OCN Storm are both in action this weekend. The Blizzard play Dauphin tonight on the road at 7pm, and then back at the GLMC at 7pmtomorrow night. The Storm play in Norway House against the Northstarstomorrow, and in Cross Lake against the Islanders on Sunday.

Blizzard on road tonight

The OCN Blizzard will look to snap a 5 game losing streak on the road tonight. The OCN Blizzard are in Swan Valley to play the Stampeders. Swan Valley has come on strong of late beating a few top teams in the MJHL in Portage and Virden. OCN will look to get back in the win column. You can catch the broadcast on 102.9 CJAR with pre game show at 7:15pm, puck drops at 7:30pm.

Blizzard back on Home Ice

The OCN Blizzard will return to home ice tonight. The Blizzard welcome the Virden oil Capitals to the GLMC tonight for their first match up of the season. The8-8-2 Blizzard have played their best hockey on home ice, boasting a 7-1 record in 8 games. Also tonight is Koats for Kids night as everyone in attendance is asked to bring new or gently used winter wear to donate.
