OCN Blizzard are Off to the MJHL Finals

The OCN Blizzard are off to the MJHL finals for the first time since 2006'. OCN beat the Winkler Flyers 6-2 last night and swept the semi-final series against Winkler in 4 games. The Blizzard will face the winner of the other semi-final series and play for the coveted Turnbull Cup. Steinbach will be in Portage tonight for Game 4 of that semi-final. The Terriers have a 2-1 series lead.

Flin Flon Bombers Open Round 2 Tonight

The Flin Flon Bombers open the second round of the SJHL Playoffs tonight. After defeating the Notre Dame Hounds in 5 games the Bombers will meet the Nipawin Hawks in the Sem-Finals. The Bombers owned the Nipawin Hawks in the regular season and will look to continue that trend. Game 1 goes tonight from the Whitney Forum. Game 2 is tomorrow in Nipawin.

Blizzard Look for Sweep of Flyers Tonight

The OCN Blizzard have taken a stranglehold on their MJHL Semi Final Series with the Winkler Flyers with a 3-1 win last night. Jeremy Dumont lead things offensively for the Blizzard with a goal and an assist. Epp with his 7th playoff win in the OCN crease. The Blizzard will look for the sweep against the Flyers tonight. Game time of Game 4 is 7pm at the GLMC. In the other MJHL Semi Final Series, Portage Beat Steinbach 3-2 last night to take a 2-1 series advantage. 



Blizzard Host Flyers in Game 3

The OCN Blizzard return to the GLMC to face the Winkler Flyers this evening. Game 3 of the MJHL Semi Final Series goes tonight. The Blizzard lead the best of 7 series 2-0. Brady Keeper leads the Blizzard with 10 points in the playoffs and Brett Epp has posted a 6-1 record with 3 shutouts between the pipes. Game time is 7pm and rush tickets can be bought today at Paperworks Plus.

Spring Minor Sports Registration

Children in The Pas can get registered for minor sports this spring. Deadline to register for Lacrosse is April 3rd and minor soccer and ball is April 18th. Lacrosse is scheduled to run Mondays and Wednesdays along with Minor Ball. Minor Soccer will be played on Tuesdays and Thursdays this spring. Kelsey Recreation will not accept late registration this year, and for more information you can contact 204-627-1134.

Blizzard Tickets on Sale for Round 2

Advance tickets for Games 3 and 4 of the MJHL Semi Final Series between the OCN Blizzard and Winkler Flyers are available now. Games will be played at 7pm tomorrow and Thursday night at the GLMC. Seated Season Ticket Holders can get their tickets from 9am to 2pm at the Blizzard office and again from 6pm to 7pm, rush tickets are available at Paperworks Plus.

Wheatkings Return Home for Round 1

The Brandon Wheatkings will return home this evening looking to get back in their first round WHL playoff series with the Medicine Hat Tigers. The Tigers took the first two games and have a early lead in the best of 7 series. Game 3 goes tonight from Dauphin as the Wheatkings are moved out of Brandon thanks to a winter fair. Game is 3 is tonight at 7:30pm.

Skating season at Roy H Johnston to end

Hockey season is coming to an end at the Roy H Johnston arena. Following this Sunday, the ice will be removed from the area for the summer months. To wrap up the skating season The Pas Recreation and Wellness are hosting a free family Skate Sunday night from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.

OCN to battle Winkler in Round 2

The OCN Blizzard will meet the Winkler Flyers in the second round, MJHL Semi-Final Series. The Blizzard moved into round 2, after a 4-1 series win over the Winnipeg Blues. Winkler defeated the Virden Oil Capitals 4-2 in their first round series. Games begin this weekend as OCN travels to Winkler for Games 1 and 2 on Saturday and Sunday night. Games 3 and 4 will be held in OCN next Wednesday and Thursday. All games between OCN and Winkler can be heard on 102.9 CJAR and

Blizzard and Blues Postponed for Game 5

Game 5 of the OCN Blizzard-Winnipeg Blues first round MJHL Series has been postponed for tonight. Due to road closures on Highways 6 and 60 the game has been cancelled for this eveing. The OCN Blizzard lead the series 3-1, as Winnipeg will be forced to stave off elimination once again. Make up dates and times will be announced once they become available. Blizzard and Storm Open Playoff Series this Weekend

The OCN Blizzard and OCN Storm will open playoff series' this weekend. The OCN Blizzard will welcome the Winnipeg Blues Friday and Saturday at the GLMC. The Storm are on the road Saturday and Sunday to play Arborg. OCN Blizzard playoff tickets are available now. Rush tickets for games 1 and 2 this weekend can be bought and picked up at Paperworks Plus. Seated, Season Ticket Holders, can get their tickets at the Blizzard office, Wednesday and Thursday from 9am to 1pm and again from 6 to 8pm.
