Manitoba Liberal Leader Dougald Lamont Visits The Pas

Manitoba Liberal Leader Dougald Lamont spoke to Arctic Radio to talk about his visit to The Pas and Area during the Trappers Festival. He took the time to listen to concerns from locals about regional issues such as healthcare.

Lamont took time to praise Opaskwayak Cree Nation for the way they provide health care for patients close to home which inspired the Manitoba Liberals to work towards providing health care for Manitobans in a similar manner.

When asked what he would like to see in Northern Manitoba in the future Lamont stated that he hopes that the region has better  roads and transportation to make it easier for people to access health care and education and he also hopes that the North will have better housing.

Lamont believes that Southern Manitoba residents benefit from resources that come from the Northern Manitoba and that the region has enormous potential and investments need to be made to allow for economic growth.

Lamont encourages anyone that has any questions or concerns about Northern Manitoba issues to contact the Manitoba Liberal Party.
