Tomorrow, September 30th is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, a day to honour residential school Survivors, remember the children who never returned home, and recognize the ongoing impacts of the residential school system.

The day also provides an opportunity for Canadians to learn about the history of residential schools and listen to the experiences of Indigenous Survivors, families and communities.

In The Pas and Opaskwayak, local organizations are marking the day with a community walk focused on the message, “Every Child Matters.”
