Local youth have the chance to volunteer at the Northern Manitoba Trappers’ Festival by joining the Youth Board. Youth Board members help plan, organize, and run events throughout the festival. It’s an opportunity to share your ideas, learn new skills, and work as part of a team.
Volunteering helps you gain confidence and a sense of purpose. Serving on the Youth Board provides an opportunity to experience Trappers’ Festival in a new way. Some of the events and activities Youth Board members help with include family fun, the pancake breakfast, the seniors show, and the scavenger hunt.
Youth ages 13 to 17 who are interested in joining the Youth Board are invited to attend a meeting on October 18th at 12:00 noon at The Pas Sweatshop. Parents are also welcome to attend the meeting. For more information, call Lyla at 204- 620-0899, or call Shirley at 204-620-7476.
