Lynn Lake RCMP are investigating the suspicious death of a 72-year-old man.

 

Police say around 7:30 Sunday morning, a cell guard at the Lynn Lake RCMP detachment reported seeing a man lying outside the building.

 

Officers found the man suffering from serious injuries and provided first aid, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

RCMP believe the man had left his home and gone to the detachment after being assaulted.

 

Manitoba RCMP Major Crime Services has taken over the investigation, with Forensic Identification Services also assisting.
