Residents from Rocky Lake to Moose Lake, including Clearwater Lake and Cormorant, are being advised of a planned power outage this Saturday, September 19th.

The outage is scheduled from approximately 8 am to 5 pm while critical upgrades are completed, affecting about 1,190 customers in the area.

Residents are encouraged to prepare ahead of time by having flashlights, extra batteries, a battery-powered radio, a portable phone charger, and enough food and water for at least three days.

During the outage, keep refrigerator and freezer doors closed, unplug major appliances, and use flashlights instead of candles.

Anyone using a portable generator should operate it outdoors and away from windows and doors to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning.
