The Town of The Pas is moving forward with an agreement to support Northern Lights Seniors Housing Co-op in developing much-needed seniors housing in the community.

Council is being asked to approve a land agreement that will allow the co-op to pursue grant funding.

The co-op will cover development costs, while the Town would be responsible for extending sewer and water services to the property line.

Current estimates put water servicing at about two hundred seventy-five thousand dollars, plus tax, with sewer costs estimated at fifty thousand dollars.

The work is expected to be at least two budget cycles away, with the Town also seeking provincial and federal grants.
