Oxford House RCMP have made a significant drug seizure at the community airport.
Police were called to the airport Wednesday, September 9th, in the evening after a First Nation Safety Officer had a female suspect in custody.
An FNSO conducting a routine search of arriving passengers discovered a package believed to contain illicit drugs hidden in the woman’s clothing.
The package was found to contain cocaine with an estimated street value of 44-thousand dollars.
23-year-old Tiana Grieves of Oxford House has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and failing to comply with an undertaking condition.
Grieves remains in custody as the investigation continues.
