Traffic Fines Near Easterville

A 34-year-old Easterville man is facing more than one thousand dollars in fines after a traffic stop on Highway 10.

 

Manitoba RCMP Traffic Services stopped the vehicle on August 21st after officers clocked it travelling 133 kilometres per hour in a 100 zone, between Easterville and The Pas.

 

The driver could not produce a valid licence, telling officers he had left it at home. Police later discovered the licence had expired.

 

The man also failed an approved drug screening test and was issued numerous Highway Traffic Act tickets totalling one thousand and six dollars.

 

A 32-year-old female passenger from Chemawawin was able to take over driving duties.
