The Town of The Pas recently approved the “Less Screen Time, More Green Time” campaign as a Community Safety and Well-Being Recreation and Wellness initiative. The campaign was designed to encourage residents to increase physical activity, spend more time outdoors, and strengthen community connections through free, family-friendly programming and events.

Activities will include a Morning Movement Walking/Running Group and Family Fridays in local parks. Community recreational events such as cricket, pickleball, soccer, and football are expected in the future. Community Safety Officers will conduct regular patrols during organized activities to increase positive engagement with residents, build trust, and promote safe public spaces.

This initiative supports the Town's Strategic Plan by promoting healthy and active lifestyles, enhancing community safety through prevention and positive engagement, strengthening community belonging, as well as encouraging use of municipal parks, trails, and recreation amenities.
