The Pas and Area Animal Shelter is having an adoptathon today to find homes for their puppies, kittens, adult dogs, and cats.

A volunteer coordinator will be there, ready to answer questions about adopting, fostering an animal, or volunteering with the shelter. 

Adoption fees will rise in September, making today's adoptathon the perfect chance to welcome a new furry friend into your family. The rising costs associated with caring for the animals in the shelter have caused the adoption fees to rise. Effective September 1st, the adoption fee for male cats will be $250, female cats will cost $300 to adopt, male dogs will cost $ 350 to adopt, and female dogs will cost $425 to adopt from the shelter. This adjustment helps the shelter continue providing food, veterinary care, and support for the animals waiting to find homes.
