The Cranberry Portage Challenge is fast approaching.
This is the second year of the canoe event taking place from Cranberry through Lake Athapap.
The event looks to display the history and traditions of the portage. Dolly Charlotte, Kids Event Coordinator for the challenge, shares on the event.
Following the paddle and portage, the event will wrap up with a tea boiling on the banks of Lake Athapap.
There are both youth and adult divisions; the deadline to register is August first and the event will take place in Cranberry on August 3rd with races starting at 10 am. Register at cranberryportagewinterfest.com
