The Town of The Pas is applying for provincial funding to improve accessibility at the Civic Centre.

Council is considering an application to the Build Communities Strong Fund – Local Impact Stream to help fund 250 thousand dollars in upgrades to the building's front entrance. The project is designed to improve access for residents and visitors while helping the Town meet accessibility standards.

The Town has already budgeted 137 thousand 500 dollars for the work, but would need to contribute an additional 12 thousand 500 dollars if the grant application is successful and the full project moves ahead.

Administration is recommending council approve the grant application and provide a letter of support to strengthen the Town's funding request.
