Nelson House RCMP are investigating a shooting in Nisichawayasihk First Nation that left a 13-year-old boy seriously injured.
Police say officers were called around 1:45 Thursday morning to reports of shots fired behind a building on McDonald Road. Investigators learned the youth had suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery and is currently listed in stable condition.
