Swan River RCMP have arrested two suspects following a machete attack on the Sapotaweyak Cree Nation.
Police say just before 2 a.m. on June 19th, a man was walking along Sapotaweyak Maskanow Road when two men, known to him, approached on an ATV.
Investigators say one suspect chased the victim with a machete and struck him in the head, while the second allegedly attempted to run him over with the ATV.
The victim escaped and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Both suspects were later arrested at separate residences, and police recovered a machete during the investigation.
