Several shots were fired near a trailer park in the Rural Municipality of Kelsey, leading to an arrest.

At approximately 10:50 a.m. on Thursday, February 5, officers responded to a report of shots being fired toward individuals working in the area.

Police conducted a door-to-door search to locate the suspect and, with assistance from the Manitoba First Nations Police, were able to apprehend the individual and recover the firearm believed to have been used in the incident.

Devin McKenzie, 32, of OCN, has been charged with multiple offences, including possession of a restricted firearm, possession of a firearm while unauthorized, and two counts of failure to comply with a release order.

McKenzie was remanded into custody.
