On Monday, Susai Jesu was ordained and installed at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cathedral in The Pas by the Archdiocese of Keewatin–Le Pas.
Mayor Andre Murphy was on hand for the ceremony and praised community members who continue to make a difference.
Murphy highlighted the contributions of May Blake, who spent more than 50 years supporting community members and veterans.
He went on to say that volunteers are a pillar of the community.
