The Canadian Red Cross has announced new financial support for small businesses impacted by Manitoba’s 2025 wildfires.
Funded by the Government of Manitoba, the Support to Small Businesses Program provides two-thousand dollars to eligible businesses in communities that were under a mandatory evacuation order for at least three days, starting on or after May 7th.
The funding can be used to help cover clean-up costs, insurance deductibles, storage or movement of inventory, and other urgent recovery expenses.
To qualify, businesses must have had a Manitoba business number as of April 1st, 2025, be in good standing, and have resumed — or plan to resume — operations following the wildfires.
Applications will be accepted until April 13th, 2026. More information is available at redcross.ca/2025manitobawildfires.
