OCN Child and Family Services will host a round dance this weekend, “In The Spirit Of Wahkotowin”.
The Round dance runs tomorrow evening at the OCN Veterans hall with a late-night feast at 9 pm, followed by giveaways later in the evening at 11 pm.
Elmer Ballantyne and Sanford Strongarm will be the night’s MCs, and Colin Chief will lead the drums.
Round dances are traditional Indigenous gatherings generally held during winter to foster community, healing, and celebration by joining together in a drum circle that symbolizes unity, remembrance, and the circle of life.
All are welcome to attend.
