Through an active investigation, the RCMP in God’s Lake Narrows arrested multiple individuals in a trafficking scheme.
On December 6, God’s Lake Narrows RCMP visited Manto Sipi Cree Nation to meet with local Peace Keepers and Safety Officers after two recent drug seizures.
In the afternoon of December 7, two women were arrested at the airport for possessing suspected cocaine, crack-cocaine, cash, and drug paraphernalia.
Early the next morning, a man was arrested at a residence, where police seized drugs, cannabis, illicit pills, cash, a firearm, and drug-related items.
The three accused, along with the seized items, were handed over to the RCMP.
The women were released with a court date, and the man was also released and will face charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking and unsafe storage of a firearm.
RCMP thanked the Chief and Council and the First Nations Safety Officers of Manto Sipi Cree Nation for their continued efforts to reduce illegal contraband in the community.
