In 2024, the Town of The Pas secured $4.2 million in funding for its landfill modernization project through the Manitoba Growth and Renewal Opportunities Program.
Building on this success, the town submitted two more applications to the 2025–26 GRO program in October 2025.
Yesterday, the town announced it had been awarded $1,375,000 for the Recreational Renewal Project and $2,500,000 for the Regional Arts, Culture, and Learning Centre Project.
These significant investments will enhance recreation, culture, learning, and support long-term community development throughout the region.
The town thanked the dedicated team that helped, as well as the Manitoba government and Minister of Municipal and Northern Relations for helping make it possible.
