There is a need for power line technicians here in the north, and Manitoba Hydro has set up a paid program to train qualified individuals and get them ready to go.

The Northern Manitoba Trades Development pilot project will give those candidates hands-on educational and job site experience over 6 months and provide academic upgrading opportunities.
