It was a very successful year for pledge drives at 102.9 CJAR in the community, raising over $30,000 for food hampers, toys, and clothing for those who need it most.
Thanks to the incredible support from the surrounding communities and numerous sponsors who gave back.
The Friendship Centres' pledge show raised approximately $10,000 for toys and food hampers for seniors.
The Minisewin Resource Centre raised over $5,000 to help feed families in the community over the holidays.
And the annual OCN Hamper Drive Brought in a staggering $22,000 and counting, with a last-minute donation of $3,500 helping push that total up.
Over 20 volunteers helped during pledge drives at the radio station, and even more helped collect donations in and around town, bringing those totals even higher.
Socks from Santa is still running at CJAR, and this is the last week to drop off donations for Oscar's Place. Stop by from 8:30 to 4:30 to do so up until Friday.
