An incident at a fair in the OCN over the weekend caused widespread fear and panic across The Pas and OCN and led to the spread of false information through social media.

According to authorities, last Saturday in the early evening, a young person got caught in the middle of a fight between two individuals at the Fair that led to a stabbing.

EMS was called in and escorted the youth to the hospital, where he was treated for a non-life-threatening wound and released later that evening.

As RCMP investigations are ongoing, the public is reminded that vigilante justice is not the answer.
