In Canada, Black History Month is not only a time for reflection on the significant past achievements and struggles of Black Canadians but also an opportunity for all Canadians to engage in discussions about racial equality and justice.
The UCN is celebrating Black History Month and will open its doors to the community later this month.
February 19th at 6 pm, an interactive drum group will have over 30 different drums to listen to at even test; there will be African Food to try and more.
Schools in the community have been invited to take part as well.
