A new exhibition is taking place at the Sam Waller Museum in The Pas, showcasing the talents of local artist Shauna Ponask.
Shauna has also been working with the Northern Manitoba Trappers Festival, providing leather and beadwork items.
Shauna says she is very proud to be able to take the work from locally sourced leathers and furs, processing her raw hides to make them into workable material.
All of Shauna's pieces are made by hand, and the showcase "Journey Home" shows her work's progress since she started four years ago.
You can find a preview of Shauna's work at samwallermuseum.ca; she also sells mukluks and other handmade items.
Find Shauna on Facebook to learn more about available items.
