Hockey opportunities for Girls in the community have been growing over the years.
The Norman Wild female hockey team representing Northern Manitoba is on a 3 game-win streak to start the season.
The Wild will be playing in The Pas on January 18th and 19th to play the Pembina Valley Hawks.
On January 25th they will be in Flin Flon to face off against the Yellow Head Chiefs.
There will also be games in Thompson.
Jerome Conaty says that there are challenges especially when it comes to playing teams from the southern parts of the province, and the limited number of options, but the girls have been making huge strides thanks to the program.
