Chemawawin RCMP is investigating an Aggravated assault that took place over the weekend.

 

Saturday afternoon they got the call about a male being treated for injuries at the nursing station.

 

When officers arrived they found that the 25-year-old male had been stabbed in the chest.

 

He had been assaulted at a residence on Frankway Drive in the Community of Chemawawin.

 

Officers arrested the suspect a 20-year-old male known to the victim without any incident, he has been charged with Aggravated Assault and was released with a court date.
