Following last week’s council meeting town of The Pas Mayor Andre Murphy provided an update.
The town of The Pas is investigating short-term rentals and airBNBs to ensure that processes are in place to govern them in the community.
This was one of the subjects discussed at last week’s council meeting along with grant funding for a new landfill and park upgrades.
The town is putting up Christmas lights along Fischer Avenue this week, and signs will be up to prevent parking in the work area.
Snow removal routes are now in effect during the winter, and residents are asked not to park along affected streets that include First, Second, Third, Fischer, and Cathedral.
The community safety officers have completed training over the last 4 weeks and are now fully trained by the province of Manitoba.
The town has also introduced a youth councillor.
The next council, meeting will take place at the council chamber on Tuesday, November 26th.
