Since its launch in 1993, Operation Christmas Child has delivered millions of shoeboxes in more than 150 countries, making it one of the biggest Christmas projects worldwide.

It's noted that most boxes received are for 5 to 9-year-old girls, and the fewest received were for 2 to 4-year-old and 10 to 14-year-old boys.

Any standard shoe box can be used, but boxes can also be picked up at The Pas Regional Library and the Northern Lights Dollar Store.

Boxes in the community are due at The Pas Alliance Church this Sunday; collections will take place from 1:30 to 3:30.
