The Manitoba Governments new critical mineral strategy looks to open an office that works with indigenous peoples, and businesses to work through the permitting process.
The province says the new strategy will develop a revenue-sharing model that will collaborate with indigenous nations.
Mining Association of Manitoba co-director John Morris outlined the process yesterday during the Central Canada Mineral Exploration Convention in Winnipeg.
The convention will run again today and presents significant opportunities for the mining industry in Manitoba.
The event is being funded in part by Vale Manitoba and Prairies Economic Development Canada.
