The second of two inmates who escaped from The Pas correctional facility last night has now been brought in.

At approximately 7 pm last night RCMP were notified that two inmates had escaped from the facility.

Officers responding began extensive searches in the community and were able to locate one of the inmates shortly after with the assistance of Manitoba First Nations Police and a drone.

The second inmate was brought in by RCMP after extensive searches took place in the community.

RCMP wants to thank the public for their assistance and cooperation during this time.
