The Pas and Area Animal Shelter is hosting a Pledge show this morning on 1029 CJAR.
The shelter opened its doors in 2017 to provide for animals in the community.
At first, the shelter just took in cats, but it has since grown to accommodate dogs as well.
The shelter helps find homes for animals while providing them with food, toys, accommodations, litter, vaccinations and shots, and other necessities.
They also work with other shelters and animal rescue networks across Manitoba and other provinces to provide for animals.
Fundraising is going on to help with the costs of running the facility and also subsidize adoption fees.
Today’s pledge show runs from 8:30 to 10:30 am and donations can be dropped off at the CJAR Offices on 3rd Street during that time.
