The Oscars Place emergency shelter is preparing for the winter months and there is a need for donations, especially footwear, socks and other winter clothing essentials.

 

Oscar's Place is no longer just a homeless shelter; it helps those who may have issues with low income and offers daytime services such as food, showers, and clothing.

 

They rely heavily on donations from the community and have already seen a rise in users with temperatures dropping to below freezing overnight.

 

There is currently a need for adult clothing and a reminder that the shelter is only for adults in need, and they do not take in children’s items.

 

They are also looking for food items and turkeys for their upcoming Thanksgiving feast.
