Workshops, Feasts, traditional ceremonies, and more will be held this weekend at the Guy Hill Residential School site for survivors and their families.
Prep for the event will start tomorrow, with tents and teepees being set up.
On Friday, survivors will gather at the site for registration, ceremonies, a sweat lodge, and a gathering at 7 pm.
A pipe ceremony will take place on Saturday, followed by workshops on drum making, medicine pouch making, and other teachings.
Marvin Cook, a survivor from Broche, will be sharing at 11:30 about the healing process.
Brighton Bigalow will speak at 1:30 on Saturday about the “Let’s Find the Children” Project.
At 6 pm, a dance to honour the survivors and children who never made it home will take place.
Workshops will continue on Sunday, and the feast will take place at 5:30 at the Guy Hill Site.
