Councillor Bill Ward resigned after many years of service at this week's council meeting in the Pas.

 

The success of this year's Canada Day celebrations was discussed at the meeting, and preparations are already underway for next year.

 

The cleanup of the Lido is finally pushing forward, and it is expected to take place over the next month.

 

There are still some ongoing insurance issues, and the town continues to work with the insurance company and contractors to complete the cleanup as soon as possible.

 

The mayor and council of the town of Pas are looking at ways to save money for the town.

 

The fuel system at the town garage is being upgraded.

 

A water meter replacement project is currently being reviewed; it's about an 800-thousand-dollar project.

 

There was also a consultation with the provincial government last week regarding Highway 283.

 

A study is currently underway to seek public input, but upgrades are expected in the coming years.
