TPCRC programming

Based on a need in the community, The Pas Community Renewal Corporation set up a sign language course.

Classes run on Sunday afternoons from 1:15 to 3:30.

Two classes are running right now, and there are supplementary materials provided for at-home practice.

Currently, they have learned about 50 signs.

The course is full, but there has been a lot of interest in the program, and a second class is in the works.

The TPCRC aslo hosts a Maker’s Circle, and it has been a huge success.

It’s a free drop-in program that runs on Wednesdays from 4:30 to 6:30.

People are encouraged to gather and work on their various art projects.

If you are interested in learning about beading and ribbon skirt making, they will have someone qualified to help.

The TPCRC has also partnered with the Pas Family Resource Center, which is offering a full ribbon skirt tutorial.

The first session is about to wrap up, and they will be accepting intake for a second session.
