The Unity Skate Park has been a major undertaking for the Pas Families BBC, the town, The Rec and Wellness Center, and numerous other organizations and supporters in the community.
The Skate Park has been open for public use since last year, but an official grand opening will take place today for everyone to celebrate.
There will be giveaways, a BBQ, live music, and a skate demo hosted by Skate Skates.
Skate Skates is internationally recognized in the skate world.
They have been putting on demos in communities across Manitoba, with stops in Flin Flon, Thompson, and The Pas.
The event starts at 4 pm, rain or shine, with demos and giveaways to follow.
A few large tents will be set up for cover in case of rain, and everyone is welcome to attend.
