Later this week, on Thursday and Friday, CJAR will host a pledge show supporting the Workplace and new-to-you thrift store.

 

The pledge show will take place at CJAR from 8:30 to 10:30 to help those in need.

 

The organization has struggled financially, and last year, the overnight housing that some of the individuals relied on shut down.

 

Between the Workplace, supported employment, and the new-to-you thrift store, they have five full-time and three part-time employees.

 

When the pandemic hit, the Workplace pledged to keep all its employees.

 

The province provides most of its funding, but there is currently a shortfall in funding.

 

Thursday and Friday mornings from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., members of the community will join in to support the pledge show, and donations can be dropped off at CJAR during that time.
