June is pride month; Tri-community pride will host a handful of events this month in support.
This weekend, the Annual pride parade and festival will occur; everyone is welcome to attend.
There have been several exciting changes to this year's event, a testament to our community's vibrant spirit, that will now see the parade starting at the GLMC and heading to the Roy H Johnston Arena.
A gathering for the parade will happen starting at 1 pm, and the floats will leave the GLMC at 2 pm following speeches from dignitaries.
The festival will follow the parade at The Roy H Johnston Arena and will take place from 2:30 pm to 5 pm.
Various vibrant booths will be set up with a plethora of games and activities for the kids, informative displays, a sizzling BBQ, and a small farmers market, promising a day full of fun and excitement for everyone to enjoy.
Pride yard signs are available for purchase through Tri-Community Pride, and next week, the Friendship Center is hosting a Pride Brunch on June 15th from 10 to 1 pm p.m.
