On September 19, 2023, at approximately 7:00 p.m., The Pas RCMP received a report from the hospital that there was a stabbing victim currently being treated.

Officers attended the hospital and spoke with the 40-year-old victim, who had been stabbed by a male known to her. She sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers located the 37-year-old male and he was arrested without incident.

He has been charged with Assault with a Weapon, Assault Causing Bodily Harm and Failure to Comply x2.

He was remanded into custody.
