Breast cancer screenings are taking place in the community.
Shawn Yeremko talks about the importance of being screened:
"Early detection is key with breast cancer and any of the other cancers, so breast cancer is one of the most commonly diagnosed cancers. In Manitoba, women screening mammograms can find breast cancer early, when there might be more treatment options and a better chance of a cure."
Shawn goes on to note that the technology can help detect breast cancer earlier.
Two clinics are running with the first happening with the mobile mammogram breast check clinic. It is set up at the Beatrice Wilson Health Center today and again tomorrow.
The second clinic will be running in The Pas from August 14th to September 8th.
