The University College of the North has officially launched its computers for schools program located in The Pas in partnership with their Information Technology Readiness North program.

 

The program was funded by the Future Skills Center which has helped fund more than 240 projects nationwide.

 

The goal is to support education, skills development, and environmental responsibility by providing adorable tech.

 

UCN students recently tested and refurbished 30 computers which are being donated to the Kelsey School Division and the Opaskwayak Educational Authority.

 

The INTERN program also has a goal of leading indigenous women into the IT workforce that gives them a chance to learn, maintain, and utilize skills while also providing real-world experience.
